David Paton

David Paton has been involved in marine fauna research for over 23 years, particularly focused on dolphins and whales. During this time, David has conducted research involving photo-identification, biopsy and acoustic sampling, telemetry, behavioural observations, and whale disentanglement. He is an experienced skipper, skilled at maneuvering small boats around whales while disturbing them as little as possible.

He will be the skipper of one of the small research boats as part of the Antarctic Whale Expedition.
