Dylan Amyes

Dylan Amyes joined NIWA in2007. Before this, he worked for the New Zealand Army for twelve years as an electronics technician.

He was responsible for fixing the Army’s radar, the turret systems in the New Zealand Light Armoured Vehicles, radios, weapon sites, compasses, and thermal imagery.

On board Tangaroa, he will be the electronics technician and as the fix-it man he has to fix anything else that breaks. He will be assisting with the water filtration experiments for the phytoplankton project. Dylan will also be assisting the on-board documentary maker Max Quinn.
