Sarah RobinsonSarah is the Deputy Voyage Leader for the Antarctic Whale Expedition. She will also work as part of one of the small boat teams, as a satellite tagger. This will be her fourth Antarctic trip, having sailed twice before assisting with marine mammal research, and once as Deputy Voyage Leader aboard the Aurora Australis. Sarah works as the Support Officer for the Australian Marine Mammals Centre, providing scientific, logistical and administrative support to our team at Head Office, on board the Aurora Australis and in the field. Sarah has been with the AMMC for seven years; during which time she has conducted marine mammal research in the field and in the lab involved with the AMMC’s genetics, acoustics and foraging programs. She also assists with the preparation of many other AMMC and collaborative research projects, and the coordination of workshops such as the Southern Ocean Research Partnerships workshop.
