The Bill Dawbin Postdoctoral Fellowship
The Bill Dawbin Postdoctoral Fellowship commenced in 2009 and sought projects for research activities to use non-lethal techniques to improve the conservation of cetaceans through improved management of human and cetacean interactions.
The research addressed key knowledge gaps including building a stronger scientific base for cetacean policy and conservation in the Australasian region, deepening the pool of academic expertise about cetaceans, contributing to cetacean research efforts for the global public good, and contributing to cetacean research, conservation and management issues.
