Margaret Lindsay - Deputy voyage leader

The combination of an environmental science background and leadership roles has resulted in Margaret Lindsay's 'move up the food chain' from zooplankton to whales. As the Project manager and Deputy voyage leader for the Antarctic Blue Whale Voyage she will contribute to the AAD's support of the voyage by coordinating general support and developing, supervising and reviewing logistical operational processes. Margaret also liaises with contractors and clients to ensure operational requirements are met.

Margaret holds a Bachelor of Science Environmental Management and Ecology (La Trobe University) and a Doctorate of Philosophy studying Southern Ocean zooplankton (University of Tasmania).

This will be her ninth trip to Antarctica and the Southern Ocean, and second trip as the Deputy voyage leader.
