Paul Ensor - Observer

Paul has been studying seabirds, seals and cetaceans since 1976, predominantly working at sea on research vessels in pelagic ecosystems.

Paul has enjoyed annual Austral summer contracts since 1980 with the IWC on Antarctic cruises as well as Arctic summer contracts with the Norwegian Government since 1995, the main aim of which has been to provide information to allow determination of the status of populations of large whales that feed in polar waters. He has also taken part in aerial surveys for marine mammals in the Antarctic, temperate waters and tropics, and has attended the Scientific Committee of the International Whaling Commission for more than 10 years.

Paul's interests include abundance estimation, foraging ecology and general ecology.
